Two lifelong friends who have played the same numbers on the Australian Lotto for 25-years have finally won big, netting a jackpot worth $2,000,000. The pair from Perth have gone halves on the tickets virtually all their lives, just to save on the cost of the ticket. They say they have never missed a draw and now Lady Luck has visited to the tune of $2,000,000.
One of the friends usually checks the winning ticket on the night of the draw, but last Wednesday neither checked. The next day one of the friends was looking at the numbers in the newspaper and was pretty thrilled to find the friends had won a prize. However upon checking the ticket further, six matching numbers were revealed, a $2,000,000 jackpot win!
The pair bought their ticket at Jungle News and Lotto in Geraldton, Perth and the friends get to share in the joy of the win together. Not just that, but the store that sold the winning ticket is also celebrating as it’s the third jackpot winning ticket to be sold by the store!
